Massage Therapy is NOT recommended if you have a fever, have cold/flu/covid, have taken analgesics/pain relievers/antibiotics, have a sunburn, or have recently been caring for someone who is sick.
Please schedule your appointment for a later time when these situations do not apply to you.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time for consultation with your Massage Therapist.
- The creams and oils we use work best on clean, dry, unbroken skin.
- A recent shower is required to receive a massage therapy service.
- Online contactless pre-payment is available with debit/credit.
Or pay at time of service with Cash, Gift Certificates, or Debit/Credit.
What to expect
- Knowledgeable consultation and client confidentiality.
- Clean linens, air purifiers in each room, and a sanitary environment conducive to relaxation.
- Massage Therapists wash theirs hands and arms before and after each session.
- We value the time you have set aside for self-care, and we strive to be ready for your arrival,
beginning sessions on time and ending when they are scheduled to end. - Client and LMT will discuss health background, current issues and focus areas, and make a plan for the session.
- The therapist will leave the room to allow the client to undress and get on the massage table under the sheet and blanket.
Policies
- If you need to Cancel or Reschedule your massage we require 24 hours notice.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice have a 50% of service fee to re-book. No-call/No-show has a 100% of service fee to re-book. Re-booking fees must be paid prior to the next massage being scheduled.
- Please call, text, or utilize the cancel or reschedule features in the online booking software.
- Late appointments are accepted at full cost of the scheduled service & ending as originally scheduled.
- Gratuity is a common practice within most service based professions including hair stylists, barbers, nail techs, estheticians, and massage therapists. Our Massage Therapists graciously accept gratuity as a sign of appreciation for excellent service.
- Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) in Virginia are regulated by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Our LMTs honor a code of ethics agreed upon with the American Massage Therapy Association (View AMTA Code of Ethics Here)
- Massage Therapy requires mutual consent. Both LMT and client have the right to stop a session at any time for any reason.
- It is the client's responsibility to inform the Massage Therapist if the pressure needs to be adjusted.
- Draping with sheets is required by Virginia law and is incorporated to maintain client comfort, modesty, and privacy.
- Clients may undress to their level of comfort, whether that is nude, underwear, or fully clothed. Draping keeps clients covered appropriately, while being as close to nude as comfortable gives the LMT access to the muscles to be massaged.
- Massage Therapy is for therapeutic health benefits only.
- We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for inappropriate behavior.
Incidents will be reported to the Marion Police Department.
Precautions
- Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?
- Have you recently had any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?
- Have you been recently caring for friends or family experiencing cold/flu symptoms?
- Are you currently taking prescribed antibiotics, muscle relaxers, or pain relievers?
